Facebook owns You!

Facebook, the popular online social networking site, recently updated its terms of service and deleted a provision that said users could remove their content at any time, at which time the license would expire. It also added that Facebook would retain users’ content and licenses after an account was terminated.

What does this mean for you? you may have accepted the terms of service when you signed up originally, probably without reading them, But did you expect them to be changed without your being able to do anything about it? What if you make a protest and decide to leave – whatever is on your facebook page is now their property and can never be deleted!

As a comment on one of the articles about the issue states, “There is no guarantee of privacy online. So don’t do or say anything online that you don’t want your employer, current or future, or your parents, or your children someday to see”.

Perhaps you noticed what Facebook have done over the last week or so on their site. They have put a large comment on sites about this. Interesting.

I am a bit concerned about the amount of information that some people put on Facebook and then they open their site up for the world to see.
